The app collects the user's location data to enable the search function for the Gel device and to connect to it, even when the app is closed or not in use. For this purpose, a dialog appears in advance of the geolocation permission request. If the user does not authorize the app for geolocation, the app will not collect such data unless subsequent authorization is manually granted by the user through their device settings.
This document contains information about the technologies that enable this Application to achieve the purposes described below. These technologies allow the Data Controller to collect and store information (e.g., through the use of Cookies) or to use resources (e.g., by running a script) on the User's device when interacting with this Application.
For simplicity, these technologies are collectively referred to in this document as "Tracking Tools," unless there is reason to differentiate them.
For instance, while Cookies may be used in both web and mobile browsers, it would be inappropriate to talk about Cookies in the context of mobile apps since they are Tracking Tools that require a browser. For this reason, the term Cookie is used in this document only to specifically refer to that particular type of Tracking Tool.
Some purposes for which Tracking Tools are employed may require the User's consent. Once given, this consent can be freely revoked at any time by following the instructions in this document.
This Application uses Tracking Tools managed directly by the Data Controller (commonly known as "first-party" Tracking Tools) and Tracking Tools that enable services provided by third parties (commonly known as "third-party" Tracking Tools). Unless otherwise specified in this document, such third parties have access to their respective Tracking Tools.
The duration and expiration of Cookies and other similar Tracking Tools may vary depending on the settings made by the Data Controller or by each third-party provider. Some of them expire at the end of the User's browsing session.
In addition to what is specified in the description of each category listed below, Users can obtain more detailed and up-to-date information on duration, as well as any other relevant information—such as the presence of other Tracking Tools—in the privacy policies of the respective third-party providers (via the provided links) or by contacting the Data Controller.
This Application uses Cookies commonly referred to as "technical" or other similar Tracking Tools to carry out activities strictly necessary to ensure its functioning or the provision of the Service.
This Application uses Tracking Tools to provide a personalized user experience, enabling better management of personal settings and interaction with external networks and platforms.
This Application uses Tracking Tools to measure traffic and analyze User behavior to improve the Service.
There are various ways to manage preferences related to Tracking Tools and to provide or revoke consent where necessary:
Users can manage Tracking Tools preferences directly through their device settings—for example, preventing the use or storage of Tracking Tools.
In the Pocket Water app, there is a dedicated command in the main menu that allows for consent revocation and account deletion, with the concurrent deletion of all stored data. Pressing the corresponding button, after confirmation, will send an email to the data controller expressing the user's wish, and the data controller will promptly remove the account and delete the stored data. Thanks to specific device functions, previously saved Tracking Tools can also be removed.
As for third-party Tracking Tools, Users can manage preferences and revoke consent by visiting the related opt-out link (if available), using the tools described in the third-party privacy policy, or contacting the third party directly.
Users can also manage some Tracking Tools for mobile applications by deactivating them through the device settings, such as mobile advertising settings or tracking settings in general (Users can consult their device settings to find the relevant option).
Users are free to decide whether or not to give consent. However, please note that Tracking Tools allow this Application to provide Users with a better experience and advanced functionality (in line with the purposes outlined in this document). Therefore, without the User's consent, the Data Controller may not be able to provide the related features.
